Partnership Ethical Policy 2025-2026 | Pride in Coalville CIC

At Pride in Coalville, we are committed to building partnerships that reflect our core values of inclusion, visibility and equality, while creating a positive impact for the LGBTQ+ community and the wider local area.

Our partnerships are more than financial transactions, they are collaborations built on shared values and a joint commitment to championing equality. To ensure our partnerships uphold these principles, we have established clear ethical guidelines outlining our approach to sponsorship and collaboration.

We assess potential partners on a case-by-case basis, considering their business practices, social responsibility, regulatory compliance, and alignment with our mission to support LGBTQ+ lives. We prioritise working with organisations that demonstrate a genuine commitment to ethical conduct, inclusivity, sustainability and community engagement.

We value partners who foster inclusive workplaces, provide equal opportunities for LGBTQ+ employees, and support initiatives that create safer, more equitable spaces for everyone.

Partnership Standards and Restrictions

  1. Hate and Division
We will not accept sponsorship or partnership from organisations that promote or enable hate, discrimination or division of any kind — including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia or other forms of prejudice.

  2. Anti-LGBTQ+ State-Owned Companies
We will not accept funds from companies wholly owned by governments that enforce anti-LGBTQ+ laws or policies.

  3. Gambling Industry Partnerships
We will consider partnerships with gambling companies on a case-by-case basis, ensuring they demonstrate responsible practices, regulatory compliance and robust customer protections. We will not partner with any company engaging in predatory or unethical behaviour.

  4. Tobacco and Vaping Industry
To protect the health and wellbeing of our community, we will not partner with or accept sponsorship from companies involved in the production, distribution or promotion of tobacco or vaping products.

  5. Weapons Manufacturers
We will not accept partnerships from companies whose core business involves the manufacture or sale of weapons, in line with our commitment to peace and non-violence.

  6. Commitment to Sustainability and Social Responsibility
We prioritise partnerships with organisations that share our dedication to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. We welcome companies actively working to reduce their carbon footprint, minimise waste and support local communities through ethical practices.

  7. Exploitative Labour Practices
We will not partner with organisations involved in exploitative labour practices, including child labour, forced labour or unsafe working conditions. Respect for human rights is non-negotiable.

  8. Transparency and Accountability
We expect our partners to demonstrate transparency and accountability. We will not collaborate with companies involved in deceptive marketing, corruption, fraud or other unethical conduct.

  9. Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We prioritise organisations that actively foster diversity and inclusion within their workforce and beyond — supporting representation, equal opportunities and inclusive environments for marginalised communities.

Partnership Expectations

Pride in Coalville seeks to build genuine, long-term partnerships with organisations that want to make a real difference, not simply transactional sponsorships. We welcome partners who are committed to meaningful collaboration, shared impact, and supporting the LGBTQ+ community year-round.

By adhering to these guidelines, we uphold our values of inclusion, visibility and equality, ensuring every partnership strengthens our mission and contributes positively to our community.
