Pride in Coalville is more than just an event, it’s a celebration of identity, visibility, and community.
We’re looking for creative, passionate people to join our committee and help shape the future of Pride in Coalville.
Whether you enjoy planning, have ideas you’re keen to share, or want to help make our events more inclusive and welcoming, this is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in something special for our community.
We’re building a committee that reflects the diversity of Coalville. You don’t need previous Pride or committee experience, just a willingness to get involved, work collaboratively, and care about creating safe, inclusive spaces. Support will be provided, and your voice will be genuinely valued.
Before applying, please be aware of the following commitments:
Age requirement You must be 18 or over to apply. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept under-18s onto the committee due to safeguarding and legal responsibilities.
Meeting attendance Committee members are expected to attend regular meetings, typically held monthly on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm at a pre-arranged location. As we approach key events; including fundraisers and Pride Day, meetings may increase to a weekly schedule.
If you’re unable to attend Wednesday meetings regularly, please let us know. Where possible, we’re happy to be flexible and may be able to adjust the meeting day based on overall committee availability. Remote attendance is also available for those who are unable to attend in person.
Communication All committee members are expected to join the Pride in Coalville committee WhatsApp group, which is used for updates, discussions, and coordination between meetings.
Year-round involvement We’re looking for active and reliable team members who can support Pride in Coalville throughout the year, particularly in the lead-up to major events. Your time, ideas, and energy play a vital role in making everything a success.
Voluntary role All committee positions are unpaid and carried out on a voluntary basis.
DBS requirement All committee members must consent to an enhanced DBS check and be able to provide valid identification. The cost of the DBS check will be covered by Pride in Coalville.
